PROFILE
In 2007, he was chosen as a member of J Soul Brothers II.
He officially joined EXILE as a performer on March 1, 2009.
In 2011, he launched the series "EXILE Performance Institute (EPI)" for which he serves as a director in GEKKAN EXILE. In 2012, Kenchi Tachibana, Keiji Kuroki, TETSUYA, NESMITH and SHOKICHI formed the group "THE SECOND from EXILE" and started carrying out activities.
He has been appearing on NHK ETV's "E DANCE ACADEMY" as an instructor from 2013.
He won the "Best Sleeper" award of Nemuri of the year 2013.
He has also been appearing as an actor in TV dramas such as NHK's "Gyouretsu 48 Jikan", BS Asahi's "Kazoku Houtei" and stage plays such as "DANCE EARTH ~Inochi no Rhythm~" and theatrical company Hounangumi's show "Fukuro no Nezumi".
He has been appointed as a guest professor of the School of Communication and Design under the College of Humanities opened in Shukutoku University in 2014.
In 2014, he teamed up with adidas and launched the world's first pair of dance performance shoes "DP.01". A model in new color went on sale in 2015.
In 2015 he officially joined "DANCE EARTH PARTY" formed by him, ÜSA and Shizuka and the unit officially started carrying out activities.
He became the guest associate professor of Mimasaka University in 2016.
He has been serving as the supervisor of TIP.X TOKYO dance fitness program "RHYTHM WORKOUT" from 2016.
In 2016, "THE SECOND from EXILE" changed its name to "EXILE THE SECOND" and with EXILE AKIRA joining the group they officially started carrying out activities.
He started his 1-year study at Waseda University's Graduate School of Sport Sciences for his "master's degree for working adults" in April 2017.
His thesis for master's degree "Present state of contemporary rhythm dance class in junior high school after becoming compulsory and recommendations" won Excellent Thesis Award and he graduated from Graduate School of Waseda University in March 2018.
He has been teaching EPI class at "EXPG STUDIO TOKYO" from April 2018.
In 2019, he published his first book "Mitsuami Life ~Yume wo Kanaeta 31 no Kotoba~" (Nikkei Business Publications) which is a business book.
In 2020, he was appointed as the principle of "EXPG HIGH SCHOOL".
In 2020, "Modern Rhythm Dance Class in Junior High Schools ~Lecture Movie~" was certified as the selected material by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).
In 2021, he served as the final runner on the first day of the torch relay in Osaka Prefecture held at Expo Commemoration Park.
In 2021, he was appointed as a "Health Creator" by the Ministry of Health Labor and Welfare.
In 2021, he became a director of EXPG Inc..
In 2021, he was appointed as SCAJ's "First Coffee Meister Ambassador".
