"BREAK IT DOWN" is the entrance song for Kaisei Takechi from THE RAMPAGE, a hybrid performer who is also active in the pro-wrestling field. The music video is the first of its kind, featuring 8 wrestlers from 4 pro-wrestling groups!!PROFILE
THE RAMPAGE is a dance & vocal group consisting of 16 members who were selected via 3 auditions.
Entitled "RAMPAGE", this group's most appealing feature is its HIPHOP-style of performing on stage.
They made their major debut on January 25, 2017 with the single "Lightning".
The group started its first hall tour in December 2017, less than a year since its debut, and presented 58 shows in total in 47 prefectures around Japan, attracting about 120 thousand viewers.
In February 2019, the group kicked off an arena tour which later came to 13 cities around Japan and had 28 shows in total, attracting about 260 thousand viewers.
In July 2021, the group successfully held its first independent show at Tokyo Dome, which lasted for 2 days.
With the single "Summer Riot ~Nettaiya~ / Everest" out on August 2023, the group won first place on Oricon weekly chart for the first time.
"16SOUL" & "16PRAY" from the group's 1st best hits album "16SOUL & 16PRAY" were released at the same time on February 14, 2024.
With the single "24karats GOLD GENESIS" released on July 24, the group scored No. 1 for the first time on "Billboard JAPAN Overall Song Chart 'JAPAN Hot 100'" (dated July 31, 2024) and 4 first places on Billboard & Oricon major ranking lists. Also, this work set the group's best sales record of 350 thousand copies.
On September 11 and 12, the group held its second independent Tokyo Dome show.
In 2025, starting from the arena tour "THE RAMPAGE LIVE TOUR 2025 'PRIMAL SPIDER'" which kicked off on March 1, the group will hold the first hall tour "THE RAMPAGE LIVE TOUR 2025 'PRIMAL SPIDER' ~Meguraseru Ito~" since 2021 in 15 cities around Japan.
The 6th original album "(R)ENEW" in support of "PRIMAL SPIDER" was released on March 5. It is the group's first album in 2 years.
The "growth" of the 16 members is demonstrated in 7 new songs and 2 diverse music videos in different styles. It is an album brimming with challenges.
