In 2007, he was chosen to join J Soul Brothers II.
On March 1, 2009, he joined EXILE as both vocalist and performer.
He also carries out activities as a member of EXILE THE SECOND together with Kenchi Tachibana, Keiji Kuroki, TETSUYA, AKIRA and NESMITH.
In June 2014, he became the 3rd member of EXILE to debut as a solo artist. Until now, he has released 6 singles, 3 digital singles and 2 albums. Most songs were written and composed by SHOKICHI himself.
