In 2002, she joined dream and made her debut.
From 2011, she started carrying out activities as a core member of the girls entertainment project "E-girls".

Apart from music activities, she also appears on many TV shows, serves as the MC for radio programs, etc. With the release of "Dress wo Nuida Cinderella" in 2015 she became the first member in E-girls to make a solo debut.

She sang the Japanese version of the song "Try Everything", the theme song of Disney movie "ZOOTOPIA" which was released in 2016.
She also provided voice for the beautiful and talented pop star "Gazelle" who sang this song in the movie.

Her single "Hayaku Aitai" released on March 22, 2017 has been chosen as the theme song for the movie "Daytime Shooting Star". The lyrics written by Dream Ami struck a chord with a lot of listeners.

In June 2017, E-girls evolved into the brand new girls entertainment project "E.G.family".
As a member of E.G.family, Dream Ami devoted herself to her solo activities.

After the release of her first album "Re: Dream" on October 4, Dream Ami held her first solo tour "Dream Ami 1st. Live Tour 2017 Re: Dream" from November, presenting 5 shows in 5 cities.

Her single "Wonderland" released in October 2018 has been chosen as the theme song of the movie "OZLAND".

Her single "Good Goodbye" released in March 2019 has been chosen as the theme song of the movie "Mr. Osomatsu the Movie" and her digital single "Koi no Tsubomi" released in September has been chosen as the theme song of the drama "Busu no Hitomi ni Koishiteru 2019".

In September 2021, she appeared for the first time in the musical "@Cha_Me" and in February, she appeared in the dramatic revue "TARKIE THE STORY", expanding her range of activities as an actress.

From March 2023 to April 2023, she played "Emma", the fiancée of "Jekyll", in the musical "JEKYLL & HYDE" and it was the first time for her to appear in a grand musical.
In March of the same year, she launched her own lifestyle brand "Vintry" and started to focus on production for the brand.
As an artist, in September 2023, she released a digital single "Love & Laugh" for the first time in about two and a half years.
Moreover, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of her joining Dream, she held a solo live show "Dream Ami Anniversary Live ~Love & Laugh" with "Love & Laugh" at Billboard Live YOKOHAMA in September of the same year.
