Although he longed to be a grilled skewered chicken chef in his teens, he worked as an office worker after graduating from the university, learnt about the rules of society and "What kind of restaurants will be popular?" by understanding the needs of customers and visited grilled skewered chicken restaurants on his days off.
During this period, he was shocked by the famous restaurant 【TORIYOSHI】 in Nakameguro, so he opened 【TORISHIKI】 by himself in 2007 after being apprenticed to a master to learn skills. In 2011, this restaurant was awarded One MICHELIN Star and has maintained its star to this day.
It ranked 1st in the category of grilled chicken of Tabelog, a restaurant review website.
Many apprentices opened restaurants and these restaurants have been certified as Michelin-starred restaurants. TORISHIKI is also called Michelin maker in the field of grilled skewered chicken.
It is no exaggeration to say that TORISHIKI is "a grilled skewered chicken restaurant that is the most difficult to reserve a table in Japan". It is also popular around the world.
