In 2010, he participated in "VOCAL BATTLE AUDITION 2 ~Yume wo Motta Wakamonotachi e~". Together with Hiroomi Tosaka, he was chosen as a vocalist of J SOUL BROTHERS III.
In November 2010, he debuted with the single "Best Friend's Girl".
In 2013, he sang the national anthem of Japan on the stage of the World Boxing Championships. Featuring in the song of "DANCE EARTH PARTY" in 2015 and his collaborations with Crystal Kay and JAY'ED helped him to achieve great results as a vocalist. Moreover, he also serves as the MC of J−WAVE's "SPARK" and as the main host of dTV×FOD's (Fuji TV) music program "Love or Not♪". He fully presents his new charm with the communication through music.
After launching his solo project in January 2018, he collaborated with famous R&B singer Brian Mcknight and many other artists from all over the world and had been releasing digital singles in 4 consecutive months.
In March, he released his art photo essay "TIMELESS TIME" with Daniel Arsham, who is carrying out activities based in New York, as an art director.
In the same year, he held his first solo tour "RYUJI IMAICHI LIVE TOUR 2018 'LIGHT>DARKNESS'" at arenas in 11 cities around Japan, attracting 200 thousand viewers. On Saitama show, he performed together with Brian McKnight, an R&B artist he looks up to, and received lots of attention for his rich musicality.
What's more, Ryuji Imaichi launched the original apparel brand "RILY" in support of his solo project.
In the autumn of 2019, he made his actor debut with the leading role in the movie "That Moment, My Heart Cried -CINEMA FIGHTERS project-" (On The Way), which is the 3rd work of the "CINEMA FIGHTERS" project sponsored by "Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & ASIA)", Asia's largest international short film festival accredited by the Academy Awards.
From January to February 2020, he and Hiroomi Tosaka held the "LDH PERFECT YEAR 2020 SPECIAL SHOWCASE RYUJI IMAICHI / HIROOMI TOSAKA" dome tour with 9 shows in 3 cities.
On July 21, 2021 (Wed.), he released his 3rd original album "CHAOS CITY".
He launched his solo tour "RYUJI IMAICHI CONCEPT LIVE 2022 'RILY'S NIGHT'" in June 2022, holding 36 shows in 29 cities.
In March 2024, he held his first overseas solo fan meeting "RYUJI IMAICHI '"R"OAD' ~1st FAN MEETING IN TAIPEI~" at Zepp New Taipei, Taiwan.
From April of the same year, he held a hall tour "RYUJI IMAICHI CONCEPT LIVE 2024 RILY'S NIGHT / LOST'R'". A total of 15 shows were held in this tour in 13 cities in Japan including those he did not visit during his solo tour in 2022.
From June of the same year, he held a solo arena tour "RYUJI IMAICHI LIVE TOUR 2024 'R'ED", with 8 shows in 4 cities.
"RYUJI IMAICHI ~ANNIVERSARY STAGE 2024~ 'R' in BUDOKAN" is scheduled to be held in September and "RYUJI IMAICHI 'R'OAD THE FINAL in TAIPEI" is scheduled to be held in October.

Along with his accomplishments as an artist, he also tries his hand at acting to extend the scope of his activities.
