In 1998, ☆Taku and VERBAL who were classmates at an international school
started carrying out activities.
LISA later joined as a vocalist and the group officially started their activities as m-flo.
Their "The Way We Were" released under the indies label in the same year achieved stunning sales.

In July 1999, they made their major debut with their 1st MAXI SINGLE "the tripod e.p." and debuted at 9th place in ORICON Chart.
After that, they continued to advance further and released 12 singles and 2 original albums
which all became great hits.

Their 2nd album "EXPO EXPO" has sold 800 thousand copies and
had a strong impact on the Japan music scene.

In 2002, LISA decided to concentrate on solo activities and left the group.
In 2003, with two members VERBAL and ☆Taku,
m-flo collaborated with various artists on their "Loves" series and made the "featuring" concept take roots in the Japan music scene, which is a widely acknowledged and appreciated contribution.

In 2005, m-flo held a one-man live show at Nippon Budokan.
In 2007, they held the Yokohama Arena Show on an unprecedented scale and it became a great success.
They also performed on "ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL", "SUMMER SONIC" and other stages.
They changed their activities from underground to overground and freely engaged in all different kinds of activities.

In 2008, their collaboration with 41 groups of artists on the "Loves" series came to an end.
To pursue new possibilities, they engaged in their own solo activities such as song production and remix, DJing, their own brands and work with other groups.

Then in December 2017,
original member LISA returned.

is back after 15 years!!
m-flo who will celebrate their 20th debut anniversary in 2018
will bring new fresh air back into Japanese mainstream music.
