PROFILE
On September 27, 2001, he made his debut as a member of EXILE with the single "Your eyes only ~Aimai na Boku no Katachi~".
He started his acting career in TBS's drama "HOTMAN2" in 2004. In 2007, he appeared in GEKIDAN EXILES stage play "Taiyou ni Yakarete". He also played the lead roles in "Shibuya Maruyama Story", "Kimi ni Todoku Koe" and other movies; plus he also dubbed for the Japanese release of Will Smith's "Hancock". He also appeared in the morning broadcasts of NHK's serial TV novel "Hitomi" broadcast in 2008.
Moreover, in 2008 under the name DJ MAKIDAI he released mix CD "DJ MAKIDAI from EXILE Treasure MIX" which ranked 3rd on the ORICON Album Chart, the highest new entry rank for a mix CD in history. After that he released 3 more mix CDs.
He also showed a lot of talents while serving as a main host of NTV's show "ZIP!" on Tuesdays.
In 2014, EXILE HIRO, VERBAL, DJ DARUMA and MAKIDAI formed a production unit called PKCZ®. They have engaged in production activities in various fields including music, events, clothing and so on.
On December 31, 2015, he retired from being a performer of EXILE and concentrated on his activities as a member of PKCZ®.
In addition to the Halloween events at YOKOHAMA ARENA and Makuhari Messe, he also carried out events as a member of PKCZ® at Yoyogi National Stadium 1st Gymnasium and Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse.
In 2017, he participated in the overseas festivals "Ultra Singapore" and "Tomorrowland" and also released the first album of PKCZ® - "360° ChamberZ".
He also participates in events held in Japan and abroad.
