On July 1, the announcement about formation of "THE SECOND from EXILE" was made at "EXILE TRIBE LIVE TOUR 2012 ~TOWER OF WISH~" Sapporo Dome Show.
On November 7, they made their debut with "THINK 'BOUT IT!" which became the theme song for the movie "Lesson of the Evil".

2013
On August 14, their 2nd single "SURVIVORS feat. DJ MAKIDAI from EXILE / Pride" was released.

2014
On February 5, they released their 1st album "THE Ⅱ AGE".

2015
On December 4, at EXILE LIVE TOUR 2015 "AMAZING WORLD" Kyocera Dome Osaka Show, it was announced that the group will officially restart their activities in 2016. Kenchi Tachibana became the group leader.

2016
Their first fan club event "Exclusive for EX FAMILY! THE SECOND from EXILE 'Kick-off Meeting'" was held from February to April.
On May 20, they announced that the name of the group was changed from "THE SECOND from EXILE" to "EXILE THE SECOND".
On July 13, the 1st single "YEAH!! YEAH!! YEAH!!" out of EXILE THE SECOND's three singles for their first arena tour was released.
On August 24, the 2nd single "Shut up!! Shut up!! Shut up!!" out of EXILE THE SECOND's three singles was released.
On September 5, they announced that EXILE AKRA officially joined them and from now on they will hold activities as 6-member group.
On September 21, the 3rd single "WILD WILD WILD" out of EXILE THE SECOND's three singles was released.
On October 3, their song "Shut up!! Shut up!! Shut up!!" won "Best Group Video -Japan-" award on MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2016.
On October 29, their first arena tour EXILE THE SECOND LIVE TOUR 2016-2017 "WILD WILD WARRIORS" kicked off.

2017
On February 22, they released their 6th single "SUPER FLY".
On March 1, their 2nd album "BORN TO BE WILD" came out.
From May 12 to May 14, "EXILE THE SECOND LIVE TOUR 2016-2017 'WILD WILD WARRIORS' THE FINAL" was held at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall 1 ~ 3. 36 shows of the tour were held in 14 cities around Japan and attracted 450 thousand viewers (including live viewing).
On June 28, they released their 7th single "Summer Lover".
On September 27, their 8th single "Route 66" was released.
On October 28, their second arena tour EXILE THE SECOND LIVE TOUR 2017-2018 "ROUTE 6･6" kicked off.

2018
It was announced on February 7 that EXILE THE SECOND will serve as the special supporters of Cirque du Soleil's latest show in Japan - "DAIHATSU KURIOS". "Step into my party" has been chosen as its theme song.
Their 9th single "Acacia" was released on February 22.
Their 3rd album "Highway Star" was released on March 28.
It was announced that "Hinoboru Hikari ni ~Pray for now~" was chosen as the cheering song for ALL JAPAN JUDO FEDERATION × EXILE THE SECOND on the joint press conference held on May 14.
The DVD & Blu-ray of EXILE THE SECOND LIVE TOUR 2017-2018 "ROUTE 6・6" were released on May 23.

2020
On January 1, they released the single "Shunkan Eternal".
On February 22, their first greatest hits album "EXILE THE SECOND THE BEST" was released.
On July 3, the paid online live show "LIVE×ONLINE" which is LDH's new live entertainment was launched.
On September 21, the paid online live show "LIVE×ONLINE IMAGINATION" was held.
On September 27, the paid online live show "LIVE×ONLINE IMAGINATION PREMIUM LIVE EXILE TRAIN" was held.

2022
On October 31, the performer Keiji Kuroki left the group and retired from the entertainment industry.

2023
From February 10, their first hall tour "EXILE THE SECOND LIVE TOUR 2023 ~Twilight Cinema~" is scheduled to be held.
On February 22, their 10th single "Twilight Cinema" is scheduled to release.
