2001
He started to carry out activities as a member of EXILE.

In 2006, he began to carry out his solo activities as EXILE ATSUSHI and participate in EXILE's activities at the same time.
In October he worked with Boyz II Men whom he has always admired on their album "The Remedy".

2009
EXILE ATSUSHI's premium solo live show was aired on TBS "EXH~EXILE HOUSE~".
Its DVD was released on March 24, 2010 and ranked 1st in ORICON Daily and Weekly Chart.

2011
EXILE ATSUSHI made his solo debut with the double A-side single "Itsuka Kitto..." included in EXILE's "Rising Sun".
This song was used as the theme song for tv asahi's drama "Hi wa mata Noboru".
He released "Ooo Baby", his second solo single which was included in EXILE's "Anata e".

2012
EXILE ATSUSHI released his first solo album "Solo" which was included in EXILE's album "EXILE JAPAN".
He made a guest appearance at "Tencent Star Awards" where he covered Faye Wong's "I'm Willing". It was the first time for him to perform this song.
He won "Asia Artist Star Award" at "The Tripod Awards".
His first solo live tour "EXILE ATSUSHI PREMIUM LIVE" was held in 6 cities of Japan.
He released his solo single "MELROSE ~Aisanai Yakusoku~".

2013
The songs "Soredemo, Ikiteyuku", "Michishirube" and "Zange" came out with the theme of "Singing the Heart of Japan".
He worked with Japanese famous pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii on "Soredemo, Ikiteyuku" and collaborated with maestro Joe Hisaishi on "Zange".
EXILE ATSUSHI's first essay "Amaoto." was published in April and became a best seller with selling over 200 thousand copies.

2014
EXILE ATSUSHI released his second solo album "Music".
In his first solo arena tour "EXILE ATSUSHI LIVE TOUR 2014 'Music'" started in April he held 24 shows in 11 cities in Japan which attracted around 300 thousand people.
As a solo artist, he won "Best Male Video" award of "MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2014" 2 years in a row.
Moreover, he won "Best Singer Award" of the "56th Japan Record Awards".
EXILE ATSUSHI became the first artist to win awards both as a group member and as a solo artist.

2016
He is the first Japanese artist in history who held a successful solo tour in the 6 big domes.
In the "IT'S SHOW TIME!!" tour he held 11 shows attracting about 400 thousand viewers.

Moreover,
he also formed the band "RED DIAMOND DOGS".
EXILE ATSUSHI carries out his activities not only in Japan, but also in Asia and the whole world.

2018
He returned to Japan after his 16-month study in America and held a 2-night solo live show at KYOCERA DOME OSAKA.
It was his first solo live show held in Japan in one and half years, and 40,000 fans came to enjoy his performance.
Moreover, ATSUSHI is the first person in the world to sing a Japanese cover of the famous ballad "Just The Way You Are" by world-renowned artist Bruno Mars who won 6 awards in 3 main categories at The 60th Grammy Awards.
In addition, the 4-member band RED DIAMOND DOGS led by him released the song "RED SOUL BLUE DRAGON" which is the cheering song for Chunichi Dragons' pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka who is ATSUSHI's old friend.
ATSUSHI restarted his activities as both a group member and a solo artist.

2019
His album "TRADITIONAL BEST" themed upon the "Japanese soul" was released on his 39th birthday on April 30, 2019, which was also the last day of the Heisei era.

2020
On January 1, he opened his official YouTube channel "EXILE ATSUSHI Snachan TV".
Apart from his activities as an artist, he is also looking for new possibilities while engaging in social contribution activities. He shows his other side – interacting with children, which is different from his image as artist "EXILE ATSUSHI".
