NTV network Saturday drama "Tatsuki: Too Kind For School" starring Keita Machida is currently on air from 21:00 every Saturday!!
Keita Machida plays Tatsuki Ukita, a staff member at a free school who cares for the children so much that he sometimes spoils them!
A Hulu original story (3 episodes in total) that delves even deeper into the story is available for exclusive streaming!
Episodes 4.5, 6.5, and 10.5 of the Hulu original story will stream exclusively on Hulu after the broadcast of episodes 4 on 5/2 (Sat.), 6 on 5/16 (Sat.), and 10 on 6/13 (Sat.), respectively.
In episode 4.5, which is available for streaming from today, we will deliver an episode that couldn't be fully depicted in the story broadcast on terrestrial television, showing how Tatsuki, who has come to "Yukanai", interacts with the children at the free school in an overly sweet manner, and the story behind his gentle way of dealing with people.

When I heard the theme song, I pictured the children in the drama who play their individuality to the fullest and move forward towards the future with powerful footsteps amidst the applause from adults.
I was deeply moved, realizing that the song must have been created with the drama, the children, the characters, and their backgrounds in the creator's mind.
This song goes so well with the drama that I even have goosebumps on my skin.
Masaharu Fukuyama's singing is very emotional and the lyrics, which bring both encouragement and support, give me courage.
The filming is still underway, and I hope we can run through it together while listening to "Hakushukassai".
I also hope the song and the drama can reach you soon.

Q: What did you think when you received the offer?
I received the offer at the very time when I was thinking "I want to play a teacher or a role who has interactions with children". I felt it was fate.
I remember when I received the proposal, the overwhelming passion of the work was passed to me from the great number of volumes. I couldn't help getting excited and anticipating "This will give birth to a heartwarming and wonderful drama!"
Q: What kind of person is "Tatsuki Ukita" that you play?
Simply put, as the title suggests, he’s someone who's "overly indulgent" lol.
But he’s not just indulgent, he has his own thoughts and feelings.
Most importantly, his momentum comes from the pure curiosity of "wanting to know more about the children". I hope I can deliver this point in an interesting way.
Q: What's your impression after you read the script?
I think "it is a story with children as protagonists".
The script raised my expectations and I look forward to seeing how the children will shine and what expressions they will show during the shoot.
As it is an original work, the gathering of these cast members brings out unique chemistry.
I hope the warmth of humanity can be conveyed through videos. May we become maturer under the influence of children and treat every participant with sincerity and integrity.
Q: What do you expect most of the filming site?
I look forward to seeing "how lively the filming site will be" lol.
It is my first time to be surrounded by such a large number of children on the filming site. I really want to know what atmosphere the site will have.
Q: Please talk about the highlights of this drama and leave a message to viewers.
I have heard that it is not a common try to set a drama in a "free school" in Japan.
First of all, letting viewers know "there are places like this" is already a big highlight of this work.
A few days earlier, I visited a free school which was one of the filming locations. Unfortunately, it was raining and there weren't many children. Even though no one was in that space, I still felt their extraordinary energy.
I hope to convey this energy to viewers through the drama.
We will go all out and try our best to create a drama that will bring happiness to and raise sympathy in not only children but also adults who were once children.
