Notice on opening of TORISHIKI ICHIMON's new restaurant "Harajuku Torimachi" on September 10 (Wed.) ~Here comes "gateway" to yakitori culture~

Meguro "TORISHIKI" has held a Michelin one-star rating for many years and is recognized as "the hardest-to-book restaurant". Its owner Yoshiteru Ikegawa established "TORISHIKI ICHIMON" which has 12 stores in Japan and abroad and has set up a yakitori brand called "Torimachi". The new restaurant "Harajuku Torimachi" of this brand will be opened in Jingumae of Harajuku on September 10, 2025 (Wed.).



Gateway to yakitori culture born in Harajuku


In this block that gathers people from all over the world and youngsters, the restaurant aims to be the "gateway" to Japanese yakitori culture and to become a space where customers can get closer and deeper to yakitori culture by enjoying the "The Three Sacred Treasures" --- "yakitori", "stews" and "hagama gohan (rice cooked in a traditional clay pot)" which are unique to the restaurant.

From Jingumae in Harajuku, it will continue to promote the new wave of yakitori culture as a "culture crossroad" for people to experience the depth and fun of Japanese food culture.


■CONCEPT & MENU|Closer and deeper to yakitori culture
Inheriting traditional Japanese yakitori culture, "Harajuku Torimachi" will open as a base to promote its charm in Harajuku block that is filled with diversities. The restaurant centers upon The Three Sacred Treasures", yakitori, stews and hagama gohan.
The duration and degree of heating inherits the DNA of TORISHIKI ICHIMON. Various menus that break traditional yakitori boundaries will be provided, including original chicken dishes, stews and an a la carte menu, which all go with freshly cooked hagama gohan.

What's more, the first set meal menu of the brand "Torimachi" has been launched. It contains a wide variety of dishes for customers to enjoy when they casually drop by the restaurant, no matter for lunch in the daytime or a drink after work at night.

The compact space with 12 seats around the counter shortens the distance between customers and staff, offering a live dining experience where customers can enjoy yakitori with 5 senses.

As the "pinnacle of daily experience" advocated by the brand "Torimachi", this new restaurant rooting at the Harajuku block invites you to spend a vigorous, soothing and delightful time there.

■BRAND STORY|What is "Torimachi"?
As a yakitori brand established by TORISHIKI ICHIMON, "Torimachi" is themed upon "The Three Sacred Treasures" that represent the good old-fashioned taste, and the "pinnacle of daily experience". It sticks to the meaning of its name, "street", and operates while keeping close to the block and customers who gather here.

As the starting point of the brand development, "Nakameguro Torimachi" opened in September 2023.
The newly opened restaurant "Harajuku Torimachi" will become a new bustling hotspot, as a place for people to get closer and deeper to yakitori culture, while in harmony with features of the block.
This autumn, the store "Shibaura Torimachi" facing office workers and residents in the vicinity will open. Besides promoting the charm of yakitori culture to the block filled with diversities, it will provide "nostalgic but novel" yakitori experience that is close to the daily life for people from all over the world.
