TORISHIKI ICHIMON's new restaurant "Shibaura Torimachi" to be opened on December 1 (Mon.) - an urban oasis by the water's edge
Meguro "TORISHIKI" has held a Michelin one-star rating for many years and is recognized as "the hardest-to-book restaurant". Its owner Yoshiteru Ikegawa established "TORISHIKI ICHIMON" which has 14 restaurants in Japan and abroad and has set up a yakitori casual dining brand called "Torimachi". The new restaurant "Shibaura Torimachi" of this brand will be opened in the Shibaura and Tamachi area on December 1, 2025 (Mon.).

In this block where the water scenery is in harmony with the urban landscape, a restaurant close to the daily life of office workers, local residents and visitors has been created to offer a unique space for people to get closer and deeper to the yakitori culture, which is reached by providing "The Three Sacred Treasures" unique to the restaurant --- "yakitori", "stews" and "kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot)".
It will promote the new charm of yakitori culture from Shibaura and Tamachi as a new space for people to easily experience the depth of Japanese food culture.
■CONCEPT & MENU|Experience the Japanese spirit through "The Three Sacred Treasures" by the riverside
Originated from "TORISHIKI ICHIMON" that was established to promote the yakitori culture to the whole world, the brand "Torimachi" is committed to the concept of "being a restaurant rooting in blocks". As the 3rd restaurant of "TORISHIKI ICHIMON', "Shibaura Torimachi" is located at the continuously upgraded Shibaura and Tamachi area and aims to become a heartwarming dining place that is integrated into the daily life of office workers and residents in the block.
By the riverside where the urban landscape is in harmony with the nature, you can enjoy traditional yakitori and the food experience unique in Japan through the core of the restaurant, "The Three Sacred Treasures" --- "yakitori", "stews" and "kamameshi (rice cooked in a pot)".
Yakitori with a strong smoky flavour is grilled over a "near-high flame". Its duration and degree of heating inherits the DNA of TORISHIKI ICHIMON. The signature stews perfectly integrate chicken meat with Hatcho miso. There are also other menu items such as kamameshi and creative specialty cuisines.
The drink menu also boasts a variety of items, including the pulpy "Gorogoro Lemon Sour" which received wide acclaim in the 1st store "Nakameguro Torimachi" and carefully selected sake from all over Japan. The restaurant provides fine drinks with sincere hospitality.

■SPACE|Have a live and relaxing yakitori experience
The open kitchen and the spacious counter with 42 seats shorten the distance between customers and staff, offering a space where customers can enjoy the whole grilling process from all angles.
In addition, there are 14 terrace seats that enable you to enjoy the scenery on the riverside at a close distance and have a leisurely time with friends or people you treasure.
As the "pinnacle of daily experience" advocated by the brand "Torimachi", this new restaurant invites you to spend a vigorous yakitori experience at a new place, the Shibaura block which has completed localized innovation.

■BRAND STORY|What is "Torimachi"?
As a casual dining brand centered upon yakitori, "Torimachi" is themed upon "The Three Sacred Treasures" that represent the good old-fashioned taste, and the "pinnacle of daily experience". It dedicatedly provides a fine food experience while keeping close to the block and diners.
As the starting point of the brand development, "Nakameguro Torimachi" opened in September 2023 with the commitment to "being a restaurant rooting in blocks". This September, "Harajuku Torimachi" was opened in the Jingu area of Harajuku, the birthplace of culture. And this time, the brand will open a new restaurant in Shibaura, aiming to create a place for people to get closer and deeper to yakitori culture, while in harmony with features of the block.
In the future, more restaurants are planned to be opened in Japan and overseas. Apart from promoting the charm of yakitori and Japanese food culture to the block filled with diversities, we will continue to provide "nostalgic but novel" yakitori experience that is close to the daily life of people from all over the world.
