Q. When you received the offer
"As the role I play is a forensic pathologist, there are many terminologies to remember, which is a new challenge to me. I am deeply attracted by the world of this work. I think it is difficult to have a chance in life to face "truths" of the dead. Being involved in this theme through acting is a valuable experience for me. I am full of expectation now."
Q. About the role of Masato Honda
"He is a confident and competitive person who frankly expresses his desires. These all build on a wealth of experience he accumulated all the way.
But as a forensic pathologist, he also hits bottlenecks. He is dissatisfied with his transfer to MEJ and the evaluation that follows. Sometimes, his pride becomes his obstacle, which is why he is a bit sulky at the beginning. However, he gradually changes as he confronts truths and pain, which strikes a chord with me. As we are about the same age, I cannot treat it as a matter of someone else. I want to play this role with the mindset of getting my original aspiration back. I hope to delicately portray his journey of growth."
